How to deep clean a bathroom

No one likes to tackle cleaning that bathroom, but the job has to be done.

However, if you put your mind to the task, deep cleaning your bathroom may be easier than you think and actually take less time than you may imagine if you follow these few simple tips.

9 Simple Steps to Deep Cleaning the Bathroom

#1. Gather All Your Supplies

The first thing you need to do before you ever start cleaning that bathroom is to gather all of your supplies together and take them to the bathroom with you.

Having everything right at hand will save valuable time because you won’t have to keep running around.

Here are the cleaning supplies you need.

  • Gloves
  • Scrub brush
  • Lots of clean rags
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Toilet bowl cleaner
  • All purpose Cleaner
  • Bleach
  • Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Glass Cleaner

#2. Do Some Necessary Prep Work

Start by taking down your shower curtain and immediately get them into the washer so they can be cleaned while you are cleaning the rest of the bathroom.

Then squirt some toilet bowl cleaner into your toilet bowl and let it sit and do its magic

#3. Deep Clean the Shower head

To deep clean your shower head, pour some vinegar into a Ziploc bag and use a rubber band to tie it around the shower head, making sure that the shower head is completely submerged in the vinegar.

Let it sit, while you continue cleaning other parts of the bathroom.

By the time you are done cleaning the whole bathroom, your shower head will be sparkling clean, and bacteria free.

#4. Clean Your Shower Walls

Start cleaning your shower walls using your all purpose cleaner and scrub brush.

After you have washed all of the walls, rinse them with clear water and then wipe them dry.

Pour some vinegar and baking soda down the bathtub drain and rinse it down with plenty of hot water.

Then fill the tub with water and add bleach and let it sit to soak loose all of the dirt, while you clean off the countertops.

Once that is completed, let the water out of the tub and scrub the tub clean and wipe it dry.

#5. Scrub Your Toilet

#7. Wipe Off Additional Shelving

Wipe off any additional shelving in your bathroom with your disinfectant wipes.

#8. Clean the Glass in Your Bathroom

Using your glass or window cleaner, clean the mirrors and windows in your bathroom.

#9. Finishing Touches

Now that the majority of cleaning is complete. Pull the shower curtains out of the washer and hang them back up and then use a towel to wipe them dry.

Hang clean towels on your bathroom rack and empty the garbage can.

Sweep and mop your bathroom room floor and your bathroom is completely deep cleaned often taking only about 1/3 an hour to complete the job.
